Referral Spam Bots

Lately our website has been receiving a lot of traffic from an automated bot from Russia. The referral is from a site called iloveitaly DOT com or iloveitaly DOT com. Standard HTACCESS edits have been thus far unsuccessful.

After a lot of research several web developers developed a theory that these bots are not actually visiting the site. They are using Analytics tracking codes to trick Google into interpreting a web site visit.
