Nibbleblog and the Viewport
Author: Michael Schmidt
Today I was managing some end of the year housekeeping related to the website.
I installed Nibbleblog (the blog used to run this site's blog) about a year ago and it runs flawlessly. However, Google kept saying my blog is not mobile friendly because of a viewport issue. This issue certainly impacts a page's Search Engine Results Page (SERP).
I went online for more than an hour and was unable to find a solution so I experimented adding <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1"> in the header of all the .bit files.
Well, to save someone time in the future, add that viewport line to the default.bit file. Voila. Now my blog pages are all considered mobile friendly. :-)
So, now the goal is to actually write more blog content in 2016!
Have a Happy New Year!
